In India, The SSLC certificate is used as the Proof for DOB (date of birth). In Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states, they called SSC (Secondary School Certificate) certificate.In north and eastern states, they called HSC Certificate – Higher Secondary/Matriculation Certificate.In south Indian states such as Karnataka, Kerala and Maharashtra, they called SSLC Certificate for standard 10th.After that students can apply for degree courses in colleges or universities. Higher Secondary or Pre-University: Grade 11th and 12th are known as Higher secondary schooling or Pre-University. Secondary Schooling: Grade 6th to 10th is known as secondary schooling.

Primary Schooling: The first five years of schooling is known as primary schooling. Schooling system in India is classified in three different categories: The States in India, in which SSLC general eligibility examination is taken, are Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. Students can get SSLC after completing their 10th grade exams. In simple words, SSLC means 10th standard certificate. SSLC means one type of eligibility examination taken for getting admission in higher secondary school which is necessarily popular in India. SSLC is a type of certificate given to the students after completing their study at the secondary level of their Schooling.
